Join Greg Wittstock The Pond Guy as he connects with Brian Hoagland of Hoaglandscape in Belmont, North Carolina. After 10 years working as a public relations spokesperson for the Pontiac NASCAR racing team, Brian was given an unexpected, but welcomed, opportunity to reinvent himself. Brian took a couple of years to explore his options and began working at a plant nursery doing residential landscaping. After attending an Aquascape “Build-a-Pond Day” hosted by Smith Turf and Irrigation, Brian installed his first ecosystem pond. Shortly thereafter, in 2002, he began his water feature installation operations as a one-man show. To help with his work, Brian purchased a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. He still drives the same vehicle today, which boasts more than 350,000 hard earned miles.
