On today’s episode of Greg Wittstock The Pond Guy Pondcasts, we’re in Aiken, South Carolina, visiting the YOUNGEST Certified Aquascape Contractor - Ethan Hammond of Amen Corner Ponds. Ethan discovered water features at the age of THIRTEEN while working for his father’s pool service company. After finding Aquascape (thanks, Google) and taking an extensive online training curriculum, not once but THREE times, Ethan decided that water features was the industry for him. Two years later, in the spring of 2014, Ethan was offered a chance to build a display pond at a local garden center to use as grass-roots advertising and he jumped at the offer. After a week of sweat and help from some friends, the pond was finished. The feeling Ethan gets from people’s reactions as they see his work convinced him that he was doing the right thing. That summer he started building ponds for clients in his spare time and hasn't looked back. In 2017, Ethan started Amen Corner Ponds. That same year, Ethan trained with Aquascape experts and passed the certification process to become the YOUNGEST Certified Aquascape Contractor at the age of SEVENTEEN!
