On today’s episode of Greg Wittstock, The Pond Guy Pondcasts, I’m heading back Down Under to visit Ben Harris of Ben Harris Gardens in Victoria, Australia! Ben has been working in the landscape industry since the mid-2000s. Much of his initial experience was gained constructing and planting formal and semi-formal gardens throughout the inner suburbs of Melbourne and at Macedon while working with leading landscaper Martin Hopkins and renowned Australian garden designer Paul Bangay. In this environment, Ben became accustomed to working to the exacting standards required for the formal garden style. While equally at home constructing formal and informal gardens, since starting his own business Ben has focused on designing and constructing more natural, free-flowing gardens. Ben works to the same level of detail to position a rock in just the right place, or to move plants that have dared to appear too symmetrical. Listen in as Ben explains how he transitioned from the land of formal gardens to constructing the most amazing Aquascape ecosystem ponds in Australia!
